PADI COURSES & CERTIFICATIONS IN RETHYMNO

Open Water Course :

"During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you'll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba: most people find it a rewarding challenge!"

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three parts:

  • Knowledge development,

  • confined water dives,

  • and open water dives.

Knowledge development covers the principles, concepts, and terms you need to know for diving safety and enjoyment.

During confined water dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or in water with pool-like conditions.

You will enjoy making one or more mini-dives, which will guide you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives.

To complete the training, you practice, apply, and demonstrate what you learn during four open water dives at a local dive site.

Earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification shows that you have met the course requirements. Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before renting scuba equipment, filling scuba cylinders, or booking dive excursions.

As a PADI Open Water Diver, you will be trained to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as or better than those in which you trained.

This is just the beginning of a lifetime filled with diving adventures.

Advanced Course :

"The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to improve your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enroll immediately after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification, regardless of your skill level."

The course helps build confidence in navigation, fine-tune your buoyancy skills, and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving, or underwater imaging.

You will complete five adventure dives: a deep dive (beyond 18 m/60 ft), a navigation dive, and three additional adventure dives of your choice to earn your certification.

You will plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of adventure dives.

There are two mandatory dives — Deep and Underwater Navigation — and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives.

During the Deep Adventure dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.

The underwater navigation adventure dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you navigate better using kick cycles, visual landmarks, and time.

Rescue Course :

"Learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver. It's challenging, yet very rewarding."

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improves your confidence as a diver.

During the course, you will become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and practicing emergency protocols in diving.

The subject is serious, but the training is fun — many divers tell us that the PADI Rescue Diver course was their favorite!

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put your knowledge and skills into practice.

Topics include:

  • Self-rescue

  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Rescuing panicked divers

  • Rescuing unresponsive divers
