Wreck of a German bomber plane dating from the Second World War (depth between 18 and 22 meters) in extraordinary condition, located 15 minutes by boat from the Venetian port in Rethymno (Crete).
In 1942, many people saw this plane come very close to the fortress of Rethymnon then catch fire and disappear into the azure blue of the Mediterranean Sea just before reaching the mainland. Until very recently, news that marked an entire generation was slowly transforming into legend.... It was completely by chance that the location of the wreck of the German bomber was found by the Turkish army at the beginning of spring 2024. It was a great emotion!
The first divers to go to the site were very moved to see 2 water bottles still in place to the right of the cockpit, the front machine gun, the pilot's seat, as well as numerous bullets, pressure gauges... A fabulous museum piece!
83 years since this relic of the Second World War has been asleep a few meters from the restaurants of the old town of Rethymno! What a treasure! It is with pride and happiness that we present it to our Royal blue divers! See you soon in Crete :)
