DAMNONI
"Departure from a small, secluded beach in the depths of southern Crete"

The last part of Europe before Africa
"A small, wild harbor"
The place is charming and secluded from the world. The water and the light are superb! From the beach, you gradually reach a drop-off that offers infinite depth and visibility. Between canyons and rocky areas, passing through sandy zones filled with tall seaweed, this site offers a range of different landscapes.
Accessible to both divers and beginners.

Fauna and Flora
Des Mérous aux Nudibranches
In shallow areas, the pretty, very colorful Peacock Wrasses, Mediterranean Parrotfish, and shy but cute Blennies are abundant. A few perfectly camouflaged octopuses and generous sponges sheltering small nudibranchs.
As you go deeper, scorpionfish and lionfish become more and more numerous. Sea cicadas and groupers then make their appearance, overlooked by schools of sardines that sparkle in the perfect blue of the Libyan Sea. At the end of the season (late September, October), large schools of barracudas cross paths with our divers in complete calm.

PROGRAM
On the road to the south
Located 50 minutes from the diving school. They usually offer two consecutive dives (with a break of about fifty minutes in between).
Since diving usually ends around 1:30 PM, a stop at the local tavern is suggested to grab a bite and refresh. It's always very friendly, and in Crete, you can eat very, very well for a low price.
